After a small Alaskan mining town was invaded by a SWAT team sent by the EPA, reporters began digging to determine why and how many federal agencies send armed agents to investigate small legal claims.
The results were beyond sickening.
A reported 70 agencies funded by the federal government have hired over 120,000 full-time officers, all of which are permitted to carry weapons and make arrests.
It comes as little surprise that agencies such as the DEA and Federal Bureau of Prisons carry weapons, but reports indicate that lesser “threatened” agencies like the Library of Congress and the Federal Reserve Board commonly use armed officers.
In fact, of the numerous agencies involved in the Alaskan gold mine invasion, the FBI, the Fish and Wildlife Service, and the Bureau of Land Management and Park Service are three of 24 federal agencies employing more than 250-full time armed officers each according to a FOX News report. An additional 33 agencies are added by the office of the inspector general, who serve agencies such as the Postal Service to the Government Printing Office.
The federal government, that is so hell-bent on disarming the American population, sure does love its guns and personal safety.
After receiving heavy criticism for its handling of the Alaskan mine situation, the EPA still stuck to its guns.
“Environmental law enforcement, like other forms of law enforcement, always involves the potential for physical, even armed, confrontation,” the agency said.
So does being a citizen of the United States, but you don’t care much at all for our personal safety, do you?
